Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist | Couples and Sex Therapist

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with fifteen years in practice. I work with couples and intimate partners on connection, intimacy, and the strain that parenting, caregiving, loss, and trauma put on a relationship.

I came to this work later in life. Twenty years into a corporate career, my child's medical needs changed everything, and I learned how much someone facing real difficulty needs a person in their corner. That took me to a master's in special education, then to marriage and family therapy, once I saw that what people struggle with rarely sits inside just one person.

Who I Work With

  • Couples with children, trying to stay close while raising a family

  • Partners who have been through something traumatic together

  • Parents and caregivers carrying more than they can reasonably hold

  • Couples pulled apart by work, loss, or a major life transition

  • Partners who have turned away from each other without meaning to

  • Couples wanting more intimacy, not only fewer arguments

How I Work

I start by taking each of your stories seriously, separately, before we look at what happens between you. Your history shapes how you relate to yourself and to your partner, and neither of you arrived in this pattern by accident. From there, we identify the patterns keeping you stuck and work on new ways of turning toward each other.

I draw extensively on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based approach that goes beneath communication problems to understand the emotions, fears, and needs driving them. The goal isn’t simply to help you communicate better. It’s to change the underlying pattern so that connection, trust, and intimacy can begin to feel different.
